Green Grocer (Food Works)

We were approached and challenged by our client to deliver a full design and construction package for their new 1200m2 store.

The new ‘Capri on via Roma’ development was an exciting new addition to the Gold Coasts evolving retail sector that was taking on a fresh new, open air and slightly industrial vision with a waterfront location. 

The Greener Grocer situated itself as the main fresh food market draw card for the centre and therefore our aim was to place it seamlessly into the overall concept of the development while introducing and maintaining it’s own unique brand identity.

An overall palette of natural and neutral finishes surrounds the interior and in particular the fresh produce area to compliment the fresh and natural nature of the product. Timber, concrete and steel mesh paneling connect throughout the fitout with playful highlights of bright yellow steel and VM features to compliment the yellow stained concrete flooring throughout.

The success of this area also lies in its large, open connection to the main floor area of the centre, giving it uninterrupted visual and physical access to the main public space.

 We felt The Greener Grocer was going to become the benchmark for a new approach to the face of Gold Coast retail and so it was important that it’s identity was strong and clear which has no doubt been achieved.
